About the Role
Coesia as a Procurement Specialist Co-Op and gain hands-on experience in procurement. Support buying, inventory, and data analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive value and efficiency. Teamwork and communication are key
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quote (RFQ) packages to gather competitive supplier bids.
- Learn to collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, and Group Procurement teams to achieve objectives in Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), Make vs. Buy decisions, and Supplier Quality improvements.
- Conduct research on potential suppliers to assess their capabilities, cultural alignment, and commercial strategies.
- Support key supplier performance evaluations to enhance supply chain competitiveness.
- Perform spend analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization within the supplier base.
- Help shape Procurement Category Strategies by evaluating markets, supply bases, and supplier performance, while ensuring internal stakeholder alignment.
- Assist in developing supplier agreements and contracts to optimize cash flow, inventory, material lead times, and capacity, while supporting sales and other commercial objectives.
- Support the end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinating with Planning and other teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and adherence to project timelines.
- Contribute to inventory analysis and initiatives aimed at improving financial and operational performance.
- Monitor commodity and market trends to anticipate the impact of supply chain disruptions or capitalize on favorable market conditions.
- Uphold the highest standards of company values and ethics in all interactions.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or related fields
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of procurement software being a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
